Interested in learning the basics of rugby in a fun, no-pressure atmosphere?

Join us on Sunday, January 29th at 11am sharp for a full day of rugby instruction, fun, camaraderie, and a beer social.

No experience is necessary — we’ll teach you everything you need to know. All shapes and sizes are welcome.

You will learn basics of rugby:

• Rugby laws
• Brief intro on Fog Rugby history
• Passing and catching the ball
• Introduction to safe tackling
• Playing Touch Rugby
• Rugby songs

Clinic:

Place: Treasure Island at the Fog Rugby Pitch (near the intersection of 9th St and Ave D)

What to bring/wear:

• Shorts
• T-shirt
• Sturdy shoes (soccer cleats/rugby cleats are preferred, but tennis/basketball shoes will do.)
• Water
• Sunscreen
• Molded mouth guard (recommended, but not required.)

How the time flies! December 3rd, 2011 marks the 10th anniversary of the Bingham Stein competition between the Fog Men’s A-side and the Shasta Highlanders! It was a spirited and hard fought game last year in which the Fog relinquished the Stein…and we want it back!!! Come on out and cheer us on!

Armed with a slew of new recruits and several league games under our belts, the Fog ladies are ready to duke it out on Sunday in what is promised to be an excellent match up!

Stick around after the game to attend the social at the brand spankin’ new Fog Rugby social space at the pitch! Burgers and booze will be a-flowin’!

Join the San Francisco Fog Rugby Football Club this Sunday, September 11th, as they gather to remember the inspirational Fog Rugby player and 9/11 hero Mark Bingham.

First, from noon to 4pm, we will be gathering to watch the NBC broadcast of the Rugby World Cup match United States vs. Ireland on the Lone Star Saloon’s projection screen. During the broadcast, NBC will be airing a special segment dedicated to Mark’s legacy on rugby.

There will be drink specials ($4 Jack Daniels and $4 Jameson), stories shared about Mark from the people who knew him best, videos, and of course a good time as only FOG RUGBY can give you. Additionally, Holly Million, producer of the documentary “With You”, will be on hand to talk about the film. Don’t miss it!

Then, from 4pm to 8pm, join us for a very special $9 FOG RUGBY Beer Bust benefitting The Mark Bingham Foundation, a 501c3 non-profit scholarship fund organization dedicated to supporting the causes that Mark loved best. Plus, you’ll get more rugby on the big screen, tasty food from the grill, jello shots, and all the beer you can drink (responsibly)!

Join the men and women of Fog Rugby as we get in a little exercise, fun, and sun out on Ocean Beach! We’ll be playing touch rugby, which is a great way to learn and get a feel for the game (minus tackling) and also a great workout. Everyone is welcome!

It’s sunny…bring sunscreen.
The sand is hot…wear socks.
To lay on or dry off after a dip…bring a towel.
Stay hydrated…bring water.
